ive had this problem too.. i tried a little bit of detergent like Tide and some water water and it helped but didnt take it all out. Maybe go to the store, get some cheap makeup remover and mix it with warm water... try out a test spot on ur carpet to make sure it works, then use it all over. Then after, use a carpet shampooer if u have one, to clean the whole thing and get all the residue out.
