You should use a waterbased foundation, it is very hard for me to find good make-up as well. If you use a waterbased nearly naked make-up it is the best. Almay has come out with a new brand called Nearly Naked. It goes on pretty clear but covers many blemishes. I woul definitely use an ivory color. It also depends on your skin, do you have pink in your skin? use a pinker looking ivory, if you are pure white I would use the purest looking ivory possible...

It also depends on what color your hair is, most of the time if you have light hair you want to really play up your eyes, and keep your lips neutral, and if you have dark hair its a lil easy because you just have to make sure your brows look nice because your brows really frame your face.
Look for foundation with the word ';Ivory'; in it. They tend to be the lightest shades good for those with fair skin. And when putting on the rest of your makeup, you'll probably want more color. Light bronzes on your eyelid can really draw some attention to your eyes. Try a little bit of blush and some pink lip gloss or lipstick.
Covergirl Ivory. You need to get some different stuff and experiment with it or go to a dept. store and let them apply theirs and see what you think.

White Makeup for Halloween?
I'm covering my whole bald head in white base makeup for my costume.
Is it important to put down a moisturizer before I put on the white base or will it screw it up?
Should I just put the white foundation on my skin?

Teased and fluffed up with a wild look to it. Bend over, shake your head and flip your hair back...where it lands, spray it so it stays there! My boyfriend loves this look! I would question the validity of your premise. I'm sure SOME Asian women look better than SOME white women (or any other color) without makeup; it seems very illogical to state that all women of any racial makeup share ANY characteristic. White film on black handle mac makeup brushes?
i soaked my makeup brushes in water and mild soap to clean them. they were in water and soap for about 30 min. when i took them out the handles now have a white film on the black handles. what is it and how can i take it off. i scrubed them with a sponge but it won't come off the brushes! any ideas?White film on black handle mac makeup brushes?

I'm sorry I don't know what the white film on your brush handle is so I won't be able to help you with that. What I can offer is some tips on how to clean your brushes so they will last forever!
You really shouldn't soak your brushes only because you don't want water to get into the handle and loosen any glue that is holding the bristles. That is also the reason why you need to dry your brushes flat on a paper towel or terry cloth.
You can use brush cleaner or you can use mild shampoo (baby shampoo is gentle and cheap). Hold you brush facing down and rinse under the faucet. Next apply some shampoo/cleaner to the palm of your hand and just swirl the brush in your palm. You will see all the gunk come out of it. Again holding brush down rinse well with water being careful not to get water in the handle. If your bristles ever start to shed or break then you need to condition them. I condition my brushes once every 2 weeks or so with regular hair conditioner. Once they are clean gently reshape the brush and lay flat to dry.
Another tip...sometimes from frequent usage the brush numbers will wear off the handles...to prevent this apply a clear coat of nail polish over the number.

You can just buy halloween makeup from like walgreens. I dressed up as a geisha one time and it worked great. You should also use a little bit of white flour so it doesnt look as oily. but... if they dont sell it any more you can just smash up white chalk and use a fondation brush to put it on your face.I need to find white makeup (like a geisha would use). where an i buy this???

Here are some steps -
1 - Apply concealer under eyes if have dark circles

You should probably stay away from blue eyeshadow. Very few people can pull that off.
So i think that you should probably stick to natural colors. For your eyes, you should wear like a brown. It can be dark brown or light. Blue eyes look great with browns, bronzes, greens, and tans. I think black would also look good btu since your pale, you should stay away from those. Then you should put on a thin line of soft brown eyeliner. Then some brown mascara.
You can go with cool colors like shades of pink for lipstick, blush, pastel shades for eye shadows and a very light neutral foundation.
For your lips you should put on a really light pink. Then put on lip gloss over. (Make it shiny or glittery.) You can also use some neutral colors to. Like a light brownish color.
Also if your cheeks are kinda red, you can use cover up.
I have found that the best brand of make up to use is Max-X-Factor

I honestly don't understand questions like these. Who is to say what race has better looking people. I think there are beautiful men and women from all races. I guess it also depends on your preferance. I read some post from a girl that claimed only black men are hot and white men are gross looking. That would be her personal preferance, it doesn't stand for everyone.
ALL women are beautiful. It's a shame that we feel the need to change our appearance with makeup in order to please others. There is nothing wrong with our natural faces.

with a pale face, you should go for lighter colors. lighter pink or a light purple color would look good..or maybe a tan color. Don't do anything too dramatic or else your eyes will be the only thing standing out on your face.

Use a golden shimmer powder to highlight your cheekbones and accentuate your eyeshadow. A little brown or tan eyeliner would look great and just black mascara, but make sure it doesn't look thick. Use a baby rose coloured blush very lightly so it just looks healthy and just a pale pink lipgloss... hope that helps.

i find with fair skin u dont wanna go 2 bronzed because it is much of a natural look and by wearin white it will naturally make u look a shade darker because of the contrast..and if u do wear bronzer be careful that it doesnt come off onto your dress..
make up wise i would stick with dark browns and in the corner of your eye use a bright light gold..also, my opinion is use a black eyeliner on the inner lash line on the top and bottom and also the outter top 1/2 of your lashes..then start with the darker eyeshadow on the outside and then a lighter 1 in the middle and finally the gold..after you hav done that use the lightest eyeshadow on the palette to blend the colour out so it looks a little more professionally done..then do the mascara
and dont forget a more browner tinged blush and a natural lip colour..once you've done these redo your mascara and your done =)
i did my make up for my ball - make sure you take a small little touch up kit in your clutch

I have really pale skin, with a slight pinkish tint. My stepdad says it's alabaster, but i don't believe him. Anyway, I really want to be extremely pale like Haley Williams and Amy Lee. Today after school I bought a red top that is randomly spotted with white splashes, so it looks mostly but not all white. It has a big red ribbon under the bust and a low cut neckline. I am wearing it tomorrow for my school's Grade Nine Celebration Evening (I'm Australian so our school year's almost over), but I am not sure what sort of makeup would suit. I have light brown (mousy) hair with blonde streaks, green/brown eyes (they change), and I tan easily, if that is any help. I'm not tan at the moment, but not ';white';. If it's mostly white, the red will be a dominant color. Keep your make-up simple and natural: stick with neutrals. Gloss your lips, but take a gloss that goes over your natural colors instead of tinting your lips (try Revlon's ';Toast to Shine'; or anything by Bonnebelle.) For the eyes, don't use any dominant colors. Use eyeshadow that is a few shades lighter than your eyelid skin. Use masscarra and even eyeliner, but don't apply them too heavily or you will shift attention away from the top and look overdone. Don't use shimmery eye make-up. But if you REALLY want to, make sure it's a few shades lighter than your eyelid and softly dap it and even it out before you leave (you don't want frosted eyelids XD!)

HELP! White Jacket and makeup stain...how do I get it out?
I bought this lovely Kenneth Cole white blazer...it is polyester/rayon/lycra blend. I LOVE this jacket, and had bought it last winter to wear this spring but couldn't find it for quite some time. Well when I found it, apparently, someone in my household spilled something that appears to be makeup (foundation) alllllllll over my expensive jacket. There is now a HUGE brown stain on it and it is NOT recent. I think it would take a miracle to get this out. I don't even know where to begin; I LOVE this jacket. I'm almost positive it is makeup (probably oil based..if there is a difference when trying to remove stains?) and not a coffee stain. It's pretty bad. Is there anything I can use to get this out? Take it to the dry cleaners and ask them to dry clean it only. If that dont work get the spot wet and sprinkle Oxiclean on the spot and let it set 45 min. to an hour.

I worked at the drycleaner a few months ago for 2 yrs. I had many white jackets like your come in with the same problem. this is the way I always removed stains. After you wash the Jacket and air dry it, you may have to take it back the the cleaners and have them the steam press it. Report Abuse
First, make sure the jacket is washable!! (Is it? -- even a lot of dry clean stuff can be on a gentle cycle.)
Then, try some of the links below from eHow.com for ';mystery stains';, makeup stains, all kinds of stains, tips from other users, etc.
Finally, if all else fails, you may try Rit Color Remover -- it takes out all types of dyes and color, so should remove any spots and stains left behind -- but, again, because you have to use hot water, you need to know if your blazer can do this. Try other options first!!

Then put on small amt. of bleach for a few seconds. Rinse it and continue the process. Do not pour straight bleach on it without it being wet first or it will turn yellow-brown. I use this method for small stains on white fabrics only and it works for me. Good luck.

You don't want to over-do the make-up. Accentuate your best feature. Don't do both eyes %26amp; lips! What I mean is, don't over-do both eyes %26amp; lips- the smokey thing + the red lipstick thing. It makes you look really made up. If you're going to do it, pick one and not the other. Tough to give advice since I don't actually know what you look like but from your description I'd say go with a slight smokey eye look, and pale, pink lips. Accentuate your cheeks because most people with pale skin look sooooo good with rosy cheeks. Ok so because you are wearing a dress that has multiple colors and is floor length and you have blue eyes honestly i would just stick with highlighting around your eyes with black eyeliner and mascara. just do a nice eyeliner kinda thick on the top with black mascara and on the bottom mascara only plus foundation, blush and of course a nice rosy pinkish lip gloss or lipstick! honestly simplicity is genuinely the key to beauty! and put it all together with your dress i think you will look like a dream!!!! just really keep the make-up simple witha crowded dress!!! good luck!!!

Oddly enough, I did the very same thing for Hallowe'en a few years ago. My wife and I were Femme Fatale and Detective from a '40's Film Noir.
First, choose your clothing carefully. Black, white or gray only.
If you have a theatrical makeup place nearby, get a light grey cream makeup for your base, white for highlights and a darker grey for lowlights. Do not forget translucent powder and make-up remover. Ben Nye makes excellent makeup and Alboline is my favorite makeup remover.
1: Clean your face. This may sound ';Duh'; obvious, but the makeup will cling to your skin better.
2: Using a makeup sponge, cover your face, ears, neck, hands, and whatever body part may be seen with the light grey makeup.
3: Using a detail makeup brush, shadow in the cheeks below the cheekbones, under the eyes, and the sides of your nose, using the dark grey.
3: Highlight those shadows using the white.
4: Blend the tones so you have no sharp edges.
5: Pat (do not rub) the translucent powder on to any surface that has been made up.
6: (Muy Importante!) Take a moistened paper towel and pat all the surfaces that have just been powdered.
If you have any experience in applying theatrical makeup, use your familiar routine, just make it all grey. If you have none, go to Ben Nye's website. I think they still have tutorials.
Unless your natural hair color is jet-black, get a wash-out temporary silver hair dye. Do not get that stuff in an aerosol can. I simply looks ridiculous. Trust me on this one.
Your eyes and mouth will still give color, but your audience will be so jazzed about the grey thing that they will overlook this flaw.
Do not just give an overall grey tone to your skin. It just looks Robot-like and defeats your purpoise.
Practice this makeup before your big night. Make changes as they suit you, but remember: NO COLOR ANYWHERE.

What you can do is get a white foundation or ';pancake'; and apply it to your entire face.
Then get a very light colored make up powder and put it on the spots on your face that, lack for a better word, protrude (like your chin, cheekbones, forehead, u can experiment with it on the nose).
Make sure it blends with the white at the edges of the color.
Then, if you have a light-ish blush, u can put that on.
Finally, put eye makeup and lip stick on however you want to.
I hope that helps.

O, one more thing, when you put the colored make up on your forehead, put it very light and only slightly darker on the sides
dont put the colored make up around your T-zone.

then i would add a little bit of a pale pink blush
for eyeshadow i would wear either a tannish/brown sparkle color, or a cream and tannish color ( covergirl has really good products that sparkle)

put lemon juice and let it soak in the sun. this should work if not launder in cold water with white vinegar
DAWN dishwashing liquid in cold water, take the DAWN and put it on the spots and gently rub it in for just a second, and then put it in the washer, add detergent and one or two squirts of DAWN and then start it up, and let it start to work, if DAWN can get KING-PIN grease from a big truck out, it can work on anything, including blood, grass, and other nasty things. You don't have to spend a lot of money on stain removers to get results, and between you and me DAWN is the best, GOOD-LUCK

I have used Oxyi Clean and I have used a Clorox Bleach stick and use the end with that plastic brush end. I got Chocolate on my brand new white shirt. The only time I had ever used the shirt. I used the Clorox bleach stick and no water on it and it came right out. I first tried Dawn blue liquid dish soap first. Major mistake. Now I have a real nice blue spot on the front of my shirt and Clorox or any other type of remover did not work. So, If I had not used that my white shirt would be all white now. I did not wash my shirt first before putting on the stain removers and I could not believe how fast that Clorox bleach stick worked. It was gone before my eyes, except for the new blue stain I had now ruined the shirt. I can't even get that one to fade!! That is my true story and it happened only 3 days ago. But, I got out the chocolate. Now all I can say to myself is big deal and no one likes it, quit looking at me.

to contrast the dress... use white, silver, gray, and/or black eyeliner, shadow, and mascara.
to contrast the eyes... it depends on the color of your eyes. i suggest looking for almay eye products they are clearly marked for your eye color type. there are 2 product lines for eye color, so you don't just have one option there.
I would suggest either a sparkly light pink or light blue eye shadow applied very lightly to the lid slightly above the crease like this:

Maybe go to the store, get some cheap makeup remover and mix it with warm water... try out a test spot on ur carpet to make sure it works, then use it all over. Then after, use a carpet shampooer if u have one, to clean the whole thing and get all the residue out.

Oddly enough, I did the very same thing for Hallowe'en a few years ago. My wife and I were Femme Fatale and Detective from a '40's Film Noir.
First, choose your clothing carefully. Black, white or gray only.
If you have a theatrical makeup place nearby, get a light grey cream makeup for your base, white for highlights and a darker grey for lowlights. Do not forget translucent powder and make-up remover. Ben Nye makes excellent makeup and Alboline is my favorite makeup remover.
1: Clean your face. This may sound ';Duh'; obvious, but the makeup will cling to your skin better.
2: Using a makeup sponge, cover your face, ears, neck, hands, and whatever body part may be seen with the light grey makeup.
3: Using a detail makeup brush, shadow in the cheeks below the cheekbones, under the eyes, and the sides of your nose, using the dark grey.
3: Highlight those shadows using the white.
4: Blend the tones so you have no sharp edges.
5: Pat (do not rub) the translucent powder on to any surface that has been made up.
6: (Muy Importante!) Take a moistened paper towel and pat all the surfaces that have just been powdered.
If you have any experience in applying theatrical makeup, use your familiar routine, just make it all grey. If you have none, go to Ben Nye's website. I think they still have tutorials.
Unless your natural hair color is jet-black, get a wash-out temporary silver hair dye. Do not get that stuff in an aerosol can. I simply looks ridiculous. Trust me on this one.
Your eyes and mouth will still give color, but your audience will be so jazzed about the grey thing that they will overlook this flaw.
Do not just give an overall grey tone to your skin. It just looks Robot-like and defeats your purpoise.
Practice this makeup before your big night. Make changes as they suit you, but remember: NO COLOR ANYWHERE.

What you can do is get a white foundation or ';pancake'; and apply it to your entire face.
Then get a very light colored make up powder and put it on the spots on your face that, lack for a better word, protrude (like your chin, cheekbones, forehead, u can experiment with it on the nose).
Make sure it blends with the white at the edges of the color.
Then, if you have a light-ish blush, u can put that on.
Finally, put eye makeup and lip stick on however you want to.
I hope that helps.

O, one more thing, when you put the colored make up on your forehead, put it very light and only slightly darker on the sides
dont put the colored make up around your T-zone.
