Makeup for black and white photos?

im takeing photography class, and i want to know how to do make up and how to dress my models for outdoor black and whites.Makeup for black and white photos?
#1 Rule. Do NOT dress them in anything red. Reds tend to show up as a flat gray, and do not compliment skin tones of any color.

As far as makeup, just use enought to cover blemishes, and smooth out any lines, wrinkles you don't want to show. Heavy eye makeup is not recommended either. Just a bit of mascara and a thin eyeliner will do.

One other thing to note about wardrobe is texture! Textured clothing such as a knit sweater, linen, etc give a great ';pop'; to the photos- they naturally make skin look softer/smoother.

Busy patterns are problematic too.Makeup for black and white photos?
Bright eyes and dark lips will stand out most. Use a little liner, too, on the eyes.
